This workshop introduces governance in data spaces, with a focus on common purpose, balanced power dynamics and the role of the Multi-Stakeholder Governance Scheme in building trusted local data ecosystems. Participants explore the roles and responsibilities of data space participants, including participatory, intermediary and governing roles, and discuss how governance frameworks help define access, accountability and oversight. The session includes group work and use-case discussions to help pilots map stakeholders, identify roles and reflect on governance questions in their own context.
