Data Spaces for Smart Cities: AI-Ready Trusted Platforms to Scale Urban Innovation

πŸ“… May 5, 2026 | πŸ•” 17:00–18:00 | πŸ“ Room H1 |

The DS4SSCC initiative is proud to take part in a high-level session dedicated to shaping the future of data spaces and AI in smart cities and communities. As urban areas face increasing pressure to become more resilient, sustainable, and efficient, the need for trusted, interoperable, and AI-ready data platforms has never been greater.

This interactive workshop will bring together key European initiatives to address one of today’s biggest challenges: fragmentation across data ecosystems. By fostering collaboration and co-creation, the session aims to unlock synergies and accelerate innovation at scale.

The European Data Spaces for Smart Communities will be actively represented by Nuria de Lama (IDEC) , Sille Sepp (TalTech), and Anniki Pura (TalTech), who will share insights from DS4SSCC’s work in building a federated European data ecosystem for smart communities.
