Intelligent Private-Public Neutral Carbon Platform

(IPPCP)

Basic Pilot Info:

Involved Cities:
Zaragoza (Spain)
Ljubljana (Slovenia)

Duration:  01 May 2025 – 31 August 2026 (16 months)

Domains:

  • Management of energy flows in a city/community specific context and in conjunction with other sectors.

  • Zero pollution actions (e.g., air, water, soil pollution or waste).

  • Other domains falling under the New European Bauhaus initiative (sustainable urban actions and public services)

Motivation:

The IPPCP pilot aims to address the inefficiencies in managing climate, energy, environmental, and pollution data across urban sectors.

By establishing a robust data cooperation framework, it seeks to streamline data collection and sharing, making it easier for cities to monitor and quantify their progress towards climate neutrality.

This initiative will enhance collaboration among public and private stakeholders, driving impactful solutions and contributing to the broader Green Deal objectives of achieving net-zero emissions and zero pollution.

Use Case Description:

The use case involves creating a public-private dataspace to enhance Emissions Inventories in the cities of Zaragoza (ZGZ) and Ljubljana (LJU).

This dataspace will integrate data from various domains to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for data cooperation.

By combining and analyzing data from these domains, the project aims to improve the accuracy and reliability of emissions monitoring, supporting effective climate action strategies and policies in both cities.
